Suppliers are expected to uphold internationally recognized human rights and labor standards, including:

  • No Forced or Child Labor: Suppliers must not use forced, bonded, or involuntary prison labor. Employment of individuals under the legal working age is prohibited.
  • Fair Wages and Benefits: Suppliers must provide fair wages and benefits that meet or exceed legal minimums in the country of operation.
  • Safe Working Conditions: Suppliers must ensure a safe and healthy working environment, provide necessary protective equipment, and comply with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Non-Discrimination: Suppliers must not discriminate against employees based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Freedom of Association: Suppliers must respect employees' rights to join or form trade unions and bargain collectively.

3. Environmental Responsibility

Suppliers are expected to minimize their environmental footprint by:

  • Reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Properly managing waste and hazardous materials.
  • Promoting the use of renewable resources and sustainable materials.
  • Complying with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

4. Ethical Business Practices

Suppliers must conduct business with integrity and transparency. This includes:

  • Anti-Corruption: Suppliers must prohibit bribery, corruption, and unethical practices in all forms.
  • Conflict of Interest: Suppliers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to CollegeBackpackWorld, LLC.
  • Accurate Records: Suppliers must maintain accurate and complete business records and comply with all applicable financial reporting laws.

5. Supply Chain Transparency

Suppliers must:

  • Map their supply chain to ensure compliance with this Code.
  • Monitor and address risks related to human rights, labor practices, and environmental impact within their supply chain.
  • Disclose the source of materials used in products supplied to CollegeBackpackWorld, LLC upon request.

6. Grievance Mechanisms and Reporting

7. Audits and Assessments
